What About Working In The Animation & VFX Studio?
And it happens when you are a technology illiterate kind of person.
Hi, it’s Ane.
It’s been a while since my last writing about my career. This might be surprising for all of us because I’m a ‘technology illiterate’ kind of person if you know me. Spending almost a whole career in writing — and the retail industry makes me forget to dig about many things, including the technology in the movie I watched.
The only familiar tech term in the movie for me is CGI. Even if it’s only a very surface knowledge I know. Fun fact, days before I write this I don’t even know what CGI stands for. It’s funny.
But here I am now, jumping into the most fascinated industry. A 3D animation studio. I can’t even draw a perfect line or choose the fit color for any shape of the drawing. I only use my computer to open the sheet on very medium skills.
On the first day, I came to the office for the interview and I’m like “Whoah, it’s so sophisticated….. I don’t know every single thing happens in this office” a computer with a very big screen. The complicated image on the screen. And so on, and so on.
I’m questioning myself… where have I been all this time. Am I covering my eyes and ears and ignoring all the technology…
